The Platform

The Tesla Robotaxi Network

A clear division of labour: the network moves riders, the fleet operator keeps vehicles available to move them.

What the network does

Rider acquisition, dispatch, routing, pricing, in-app support and payment processing are handled by Tesla. Cincinnati CyberFleet has no role in any of them and does not hold the rider relationship.

What the fleet operator does

Vehicle ownership, registration, insurance, charging, cleaning, maintenance and the decision of when and where vehicles are made available all sit with the operator. Utilization is the operator's primary lever on revenue.

Tesla has not published fleet-operator terms. As of 17 September 2026 there is no public agreement, rate card or policy setting out the revenue split, operator obligations, dispatch priority or termination rights for a third-party fleet on the Robotaxi Network. The 25–30% platform share quoted across the industry comes from statements by Tesla's chief executive, not from a contract. The fleet-purchasing interest form Tesla circulated on 3 September 2026 disclosed no terms.

The "network take rate" in this site's illustrative economics is accordingly a placeholder. Until Tesla publishes terms, the single most important input to this business — what share of fare revenue the operator keeps, and on what conditions — is unknown, and Tesla may set or change it unilaterally.
